AUGUST 30TH AND 31ST 2ND ANNUAL MALAMA PUNALU'U CULTURE AND MUSIC FESTIVAL
The two day festival is for everyone — adults and families and children of all ages. Come and celebrate the magic and mana of Punalu`u that is home to some of the most endangered species in the world including the Honu`ea (Hawaiian hawksbill turtle.) The festival will showcase Hawaiian Traditions through music, chant, hula and cultural demonstrations creating a unique two day “living classroom” that will promote the 2000+ year old Hawaiian teaching tradition, ho`o hana lima (hands on learning.)
The Malama Punalu`u festival will also feature LIVE MUSIC with Multi Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner Amy Hanaiali`i Gilliom, Grammy Winner Ledward Kaapana, Eddie Kamae, Mike Kaawa, Analu Aina, Sugah Daddy, A Tribute to Uncle George Na`ope, Darren Benitez, Manoa DNA, Brudda Smitty, The Band Kau, Kekuhi Kanahele, Darlene Ahuna, Kanaka Pila, Diana Aki, Punalu`u Boys and many others.
