Big Island Catchment Users –Workshop Offered on August 13 & 14 in Kea`au
The UH CTAHR Cooperative Extension Service and Hawaii Rainwater Catchment Systems Association are sponsoring two one-hour workshops on August 13 and 14 geared to help catchment users in Hawai`i County.
Floating Intake Workshops:
Interested in cleaner catchment water? Come to a one-hour workshop to build a floating intake device for your tank on August 13 and August 14 at the Keaau Community Center at the following times:
* Thursday, August 13, 6:00-7:00 pm
* Friday, August 14, 1-2 p.m.
* Friday, August 14, 6-7 p.m.
Please call 981-5199 or email info@hawaiirain.org to sign up to ensure that there will be adequate supplies on hand. There is a $35 materials fee. This workshop is sponsored by the UH CTAHR Cooperative Extension Service and Hawaii Rainwater Catchment Systems Association.
Catchment users are also invited to the second annual catchment tradeshow on Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Keaau Community Center. Visit with local suppliers and service people at this free event and learn how to maintain your catchment system and improve your water quality.
