Big Island News: 5.0 Earthquake on April 14th 2009: Volcano Area Gets "All Shook Up"

Making National headlines, the Big Island on April 14th felt a 5.0 magnitude earthquake 8 miles to the southeast of Volcano. The earthquake took place at approximately 12:44 PM.
After 12:45 the U.S. Geological survey said that it had received over 350 phone calls, albeit no damage was reported.
The center of the quake was approximately 7 miles from the Kilauea summit, and 29 miles from Hilo at a depth of 6.2 miles.
