Coming Home

Having lived on the Big Island in North Kohala for some years, until 2000, my husband and myself were as active as we could possibly be in the Sovereignty movement.
In April, 2009, our home was burned to the ground, here in South Carolina. We have strongly wished to return to the only place on Earth that we ever felt truly "at home". However, we were prevented from doing this prior to now, due to the need to either find homes for our beautiful Burmese cats, or put them through the 1-5 day quarantine, sort through all of life's paraphenalia, then gather together the funds to get us, whatever goods we still had, any cats we still had, and our dog, and head 'home' via ship, since I cannot medically fly anymore. The fire wiped out nearly everything we had except us, our dog (Hannah, an Aussie), our cars, and a few things that survived the fire that were in the garage. We barely escaped being killed by that fire. We know it was intentionally set, but we don't know who did it.
Even while crouching in the wet grass, holding our dog, I told my husband, "Now we go home." Since that day we have been working as fast as possible, to return to the Big Island. You see, we feel that God freed us from any encumbrance that stopped us from returning.
We now plan to be heading home sometime in December. We both believe strongly that the cause of Hawaiian Sovereignty is of utmost importance, and we desire strongly to again connect with our Native Hawaiian friends and compatriots. We will spend the rest of our lives doing all we can, to help support that cause.
Mahalo for being there, and continuing the fight.
