Hawaiian Sovereignty: its admirable but unrealistic

by tony
(mt. sterling, Ohio)

If one was to get up and smell the Kona coffee in the morning, one would realize that Hawaii for all its splendor is a dying place.

I mean the dream of grass huts, ukuele music and country charm are over. Look at the global picture, Hawaii as an independent country can never work.

The population is to great for it to support it self for food and fuels. It needs to be part of something bigger.

Maybe the United States has its problems, what country doesn't. At least the US included you as a state.

The United Nations really doesn't need another unwanted stepchild. If it were China you would not be a state, look at Taiwan.

China is poising itself for a military take over and forcing its communist rule there. If you can get it on the ballot and vote yourselves out I am all for it. But think how life will be when food and material shipments are slow, prices go up, heath care declines, gasoline forget it without mainland subsidizing it, park your truck it ain't getting fuel.

And moving to the mainland west coast no way, remember you would be the foreigner. Las Vegas for vacation, get your passport to enter. What will Hawaii do for currency and how will you guarantee its value.

Last I looked there are no gold mines there. As the population continues to grow and it will, better hope that volcano spews out more rock to live on. Nobody likes to see change, I even hate when someone builds a new house in my neighborhood.

And I live out in the country surround by miles of corn fields. It is human nature to resist change, but it is going to happen. Dont waste time worrying about the past, its gone. Prepare for your families future, thats where were headed. For a good wake up call look at Honolulu fifty, forty, thirty years ago and compare it to today.

From Diamond Head to Miliani town it is almost one city. Thirty years from now Honolulu will be on the North Shore. You can bank on that my friend. Independent or a state doesn't matter, its going to happen. Look luck Island Friends

AAAHHH...good ol ameriKKKan progress. Invade overthrow, evict, confiscate, over populate, blow up, deplete all resources and live high off the hog(natives wealth) then let the next generation pay for your greed and racist genocidal arrogance. When US president's used an OUT HOUSE and CANDLES, Iolani Palace had indoor plumbing(toilet)and electricity.
Our Technology is what brought Hawaiians to populate the Pacific at a time when the white man was afraid he'd fall off the earth. The combined knowledge of a hundred generations instruct our moopuna. The prophecy of Mana says that truth and knowledge will free us and be the down fall of ameriKKKa.
