Kona Chess Club



Weekly over-the-board play at all levels.


KCC meets every Tuesday at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, Food Court, 2:30 - 5:30 pm
Free membership open to all (5 yrs ? senior).

Hi, my name is Larry Bogucki. I founded "The Kona Chess Club" in 1994 at the department of recreation in Kona. I was promised by the department that I would be reimbursed for the boards and clocks, but unfortunately they never came through. They gave us a place to play anyhow.

I left Hawaii about a year later and handed off the running of the club to a father and son team.
