Kona Events:
Brews on the Big Rock
The 14th Annual Kona Brewers Festival

Of all the Kona events this one is one you don't want to miss is you like to drink beer.

Saturday, March 14, 2009 will be a beer connoisseur's dream come true.

The Kona Brewers Festival is an annual event held each March designed to promote the craft brewing revolution in Hawaii, encourage professional brewers and chefs to work together as an industry and have a positive economic and environmental effect on the community.

Expect about 60 craft beers from Hawai‘i and the U.S. Mainland, plus gourmet food.

Also special Brewer’s Dinner, Golf Tourney and Run for the Hops.

The event debuted in 1996 to celebrate the birthday of Kona Brewing Company, foster Hawaii's increasing interest in the craft brewing industry and promote recycling.

Over the years, it has become one of Kailua-Kona's - and the state of Hawaii's - premier events and has raised more than $300,000 for local environmental and cultural organizations.

Held under swaying palm trees at the King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. 2:30 – 6:30 p.m.

(808) 331-3033 or visit www.konabrewersfestival.com
