SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF KONA AWARDS LUNCHEON

On March 23, 2010 Soroptimist International of Kona will honor the recipients of its 2010 Awards at a Prime Rib Luncheon in the Alii Surf Room at the Royal Kona Resort at 11:45 A.M. The cost of the lunch is $20 per person and includes a Caesar Salad, Slow Roasted Prime Rib with Roasted Thyme Potatoes, Vegetables, Rolls, Dessert, Iced Tea, Coffee and complimentary parking.

This year's award winners are Patti Connors of Paauilo, a Honoka'a High School Senior who will be honored for her volunteer work with the American Youth Soccer Association; Katelyn Mitchell of Ocean View, a Konawaena High School Senior who will be honored for her participation in community affairs; and Elizabeth "Betsy" Curtis of Kamuela who will receive the "second chance" Women's Opportunity Award. With two children in college, Betsy is now a college student herself, studying nursing at Hawaii Community College.
