This Volcano Vacation Rental is Owner managed: A very nice 3 bedroom, 2 bath house in a quiet area on a 1/2 acre. Located at a cool 3,700 foot elevation, the house is equiped with a wood-burning stove (wood provided), warm blankets and a heater in each bedroom. Insulated walls keep the home comfortable even on chilly nights.

Enjoy being in a native Hawaiian rainforest with blossoming Ohia trees, giant Hapu'u Fern trees and ginger flowers. The National Park is a treasure you don't want to rush through, you'll want to check out the lava tubes, steam & sulfur vents, petroglyphs and hike around fresh and ancient lava flows. By staying nearby you can see the park day and night.

There's also a black sand beach just 30 minutes away with sea turtles often resting on shore. There's a rainforest zoo set into an exotic garden of plants and many other things to do nearby: golf, a winery, macadamia nut factory, orchid farm, geothermally heated tide pools, etc. There are also several restaurants in the area.
The house makes a great home base, the kitchen is a pleasure to cook in with ample counter space and a gas stove.

The dining table opens to seat 8 and there's room for 5 more at the eating bar. Two bedrooms are outfitted with Queen beds and the third room has two twin beds with two more single-size trundle beds that can be pulled out for additional guests. A great set up for a few families to enjoy a vacation together.
