What a ungratiful lot

by Ron
(Hawaii)

Just about as unthankful as you can get. If you are so against Hawaii being a part of the USA, then do not shop at K mart, Wal Mart, Napa or any improvements that the good old USA has contributed. Do not get on a Boeing ever. Do not take any moneys from the American tourist that supports the economy, that by the way, help feed your families. You are kind of experiencing what it will be like without the USA, with the down turn in the economy right now, only it will be economic devastations on a far greater scale with out her. Your tactic of anti Americanism are an insult to the citizens, sailor, military, who gave their lives to protect Hawaii. What an ungrateful lot. Show more respect and then count your lucky stars that Hawaii is part of the USA. Hawaii is America the USA, and we love you. Grow Up

Grateful to Who?
by: David

Grateful to who?

All of the amenities are in countries all over the world. What makes you think that Hawaii wouldn't have them?

Sovereignty isn't about being grateful or not. It is about what is right. Hawaii was illegally invaded and is still illegally occupied. There is legal documentation of this, from Americas own congress. The UN has ruled that America is illegally occupying Hawaii. As my site grows I will show more and more evidence about all of this, but if you look and read, you will see some clear evidence on my site already.

What we are talking about is America, a country that is based upon great ideals and values, breaking those ideals and values, and then refusing to own up.

Everybody thinks that Hawaii was backwards before America invaded unprovoked and broke numerous treaties.

Hawaii had electric lights in their capitol building before the white house.

Hawaii's King journeyed to Europe to negotiate treaties with over ten countries. In a time when most rulers didn't leave their country, King Kalakaua voyaged around the world, and secured treaties with countries stating Hawaii was a sovereign nation.

There was no excuse for America to invade.

Now if somebody invaded your country, unprovoked, would you be grateful?

If someone then continued to occupy your country, would you be grateful?

Or would you teach your children about your Kings and Queens that instead of fighting a war, that would devastate the land and people they were responsible for, simply laid down their arms, and said that they would hold America responsible throughout time to live up to their words.

Their noble words, but not so noble actions.

Yet still here you are. And here we are. It is like a forced marriage. We just want a divorce.

We teach our children our truth, that is what America is supposed to support, instead, we get bullied into conforming, by people maybe like you.

Think about it, read about it, then get back to me.

I will be here.

Are you serious?
by: Anonymous

Hawaii, and any other state for that matter, has a Constitutional right to claim sovereignty or secede if they don't agree/approve of the actions of the Federal government.

It's not complicated, their lands were stolen from them and they want them back. They have every right to do so.

To deny them that right is a slap in the face for what America is supposed to stand for.

The rest of the states could learn a lesson from this and help bring our Federal government back under control.

What should we be grateful to the U.S.?
by: Tane

Don't be a pompous okole. During the Kingdom's heyday, it was one of the most modern society and one of the richest per capita in the world. Your fatuous arguments are vacuous. With friends like the U.S.; who needs enemies, eh? It is we who should be insulted by your pompous arrogance; but I pity your lack of knowledge you've expressed. None of you gave your lives to protect Hawai'i; not even to protect your own country. That's propaganda since your military are there to only protect the interests of the corporations and their capitalistic schemes that supports the U.S. oligarchy. What your country has done is to put us in harm's way. Remember Pearl Harbor? Japan didn't attack us; they attacked the U.S. military that occupied our country. Over 280 civilians that were killed, died from "friendly fire"; not by the Japanese. How dare you expect us to respect the U.S. and Its military! Research and find out what your country did to Hawai'i and why; then, I'll consider accepting your apology. We love you, too; but remember that we love our country as much as you love yours.

Is this Ron Whitmore, manager of the Kau CDP
by: Anonymous

The same KCDP hoax set up by the county to impose development on Kau, the last frontier? Try as you might, the Kau warriors will never allow that to happen.
