Join us on Sun, Dec 20 for the 2009 Hawaii Healing Garden Festival & Solstice Celebration @ Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden. This free community festival for natural health & sustainability will be held in collaboration with the South Kona Green Market. It is our 3rd Annual event on on the Big Island and will feature healthy & green services, natural products, organic goods, massage and health practitioners. A non-profit section will feature community groups, educational & cultural presenters. There will be music, entertainment, kids activities, healthy food and family fun with special focus on a zero waste event.

Healing Arts Fair with massage, plants, products, food booths and more!

11:00 - Traditions of Hawaiian Healing - with Kumu Alva Andrews sharing traditional Hawaiian uses of taro, noni, awa (kava), pa'akai (salt), aloe.

12:00 - Making Spirits Bright: Healthy Holiday Cooking - Demo & Tasting with Dodi-Lishcous! Learn her favorite Go-Ginji Cranberry Lilikoi Sauce that will wow your taste buds & your immune system!

1:00 - Putting the Culture Back in Agriculture - Panel Discussion

2:00 - Taiko Drumming Celebration
