South Kona's Finest: Mi's Italian Bistro
Mi's Italian Bistro is a family run establishment that goes above and beyond to make sure that every detail is perfect. At very reasonable prices, I might add.Reservations are required well in advance, as this place is filled almost every night. All the ingredients in the menu are as fresh as possible, from the homemade pasta to the locally grown greens used in their salads. 
Mi's Italian Bistro has been being hailed as the best Italian Food on the Big Island, and it is because the dedication the owners put into it.Pictured above, The Starr family does it all. Morgan Starr, the head chef and co-owner is often busy in the kitchen, but when the front gets slammed, you will find him bussing tables to take the pressure off the rest of the family. The Menu makes you hungry by just reading it, with different lasagna every day as one of the specials. This is usually what I have, along with some of the fresh baked Foccacia Bread. The rest of the menu is just as appealing, with wonderful salads, all kinds of homemade pasta dishes, wonderful appetizers, Hand-made gourmet Pizzas and more. The Decor is friendly and inviting, with some of the most comfortable chairs of any restaurant I've been in. Ten to fifteen tables at the most, so it is a good idea to make reservations.
