August 16 - International Haari Boat Festival Big Island Hilo

This will hopefully be the first of many festivals to celebrate the cultures of Hawai`i and Okinawa. Activities include Haari boat races, an open market with Okinawan food, a country store, cultural exchanges, a golf tournament and a luau on Saturday night.

Takes place on Saturday August 16th at the Wailoa State Park in Hilo, 7 am to 3 pm.
