Brochure on Emissions from Kilauea Volcano Available Online
An updated version of the County’s brochure on Emissions from Kilauea Volcano, dated April 2008, is now available online.
The link to the brochure, which gives a brief summary of hazards and protective measures regarding sulfur dioxide (SO2) and volcanic ash emissions can be found on the lava information webpage at lavainfo.us . Scroll down and click on Emissions from Kilauea Volcano Brochure.
The brochure gives color-coded levels of sulfur dioxide conditions, ranging from green (trace) to purple (extreme), with recommended responses accordingly.
