Abled Hawai’i Artists(AHA)- Big Island 3rd Annual Art Festival
Join us in celebrating the arts and the passing of American disabilities Act at the Prince Kuhio Plaza, Saturday, July 24th between 10am to 4pm.
An all ages FREE event for the community, this diverse art festival provides opportunity for artists with and without disabilities to share and sell their incredible art.
EVENT DETAILS
In fantastic carnival-like atmosphere, this community event boasts random larger than life roaming puppets. Free art making opportunity abound for the entire family- chalk art, face & body painting, community mural, recycled art, and more!
A great line up of amazing performances on stage from various local groups will entertain, speeches from our community leaders will inform, community organizations and sustainability groups will share information, and healing artists will provide FREE mini-healing demonstrations.
Our silent auction features beautiful donated art, gift certificates including restaurants, tours, and hotel stays.
ABOUT ABLED HAWAI’I ARTISTS
Abled Hawaii Artists (AHA) is a volunteer- based organization aimed at raising community awareness of disability issues in the state of Hawaii, by organizing an annual event that celebrates the American’s with Disabilities Act and promotes inclusion through a festival that focuses on individual abilities through the arts.
AHA- Big Island Planning Committee is comprised of persons with and without disabilities who value the importance of community inclusion for all persons with disabilities.
AHA also works to build community by supporting various drug-free community events. With volunteer artist and donated supplies, we provide free all-ages art activities such as chalk art, face and painting, mural, etc. In its third year, AHA- Big Island continues to focus on community inclusion by inviting all artists of all abilities to participate in this amazing community event!
