HIHS PET WALKS HILO & KONA
Walkers stroll Alii Drive during HIHS Pet Walk
Hawaii Island Humane Society’s Annual Halloween Pet Walks are scheduled for Saturday, October 30 in Queen Liliuokalani Park in Hilo and Sunday, October 31 in Historic Kailua Village at Hale Halawai with registration for both events beginning at 8:00 a.m. and walks beginning at 9:00 a.m.
HIHS Pet Walks encourage pet owners to exercise themselves and their pets during these fun, family-friendly Halloween weekend events. Contests and prizes add to the day’s planned festivities. Walkers with – or without – pets are urged to raise pledges and support Hawaii Island Humane Society. Kona participants are urged to form teams & challenge others. Visit www.FirstGiving.com/HIHSPetWalk to create a fundraising page or join a team.
Contact Jacob Moore at 769-0609 or fund.dev@hihs.org to donate or sponsor events.
Registration is free. Raise $50 or more in pledges for free tee shirt. Registration forms available soon from HIHS’s Kona, Waimea and Hilo shelters, online at www.HIHS.org or from many island veterinarians.
Proceeds from the Pet Walks benefit some of the many needs of Hawaii Island Humane Society including pet food supplies and low-cost spay and neuter services to help eliminate pet overpopulation. www.hihs.org
