Kalo, Issues of Genetically-Modified Organisms: A Panel Presentation
Dr. Dennis Gonsalves of the Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center; Jerry Konanui, Association for Hawaiian Awa; and Dr. William Steiner, University of Hawaii at Hilo, will offer their perspectives on the issues revolving around kalo (taro) and genetically-modified organisms (GMO) in a panel presentation for the November Puana Ka Ike (Imparting knowledge) lecture series.
The panel discussions are 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 27, at the Keauhou Beach Resort Ballroom in Kona and noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 30, at the University of Hawaii at Hilo in University Classroom Building 127.
