October 9-19, 2008 HAWAII INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, HILO & KONA

The 26th Annual Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF) comes to Hawaii Island for six days in a row with twelve feature length films from around the globe, plus seven Pacific Island short films.

For the first time film fans will have a chance to see all showings, as the schedule runs three days in East Hawaii and three days in West Hawaii. In Hilo all showings will take place at the Palace Theater from October 26-28 and in Kona at the Makalapua Stadium Cinemas October 29-31.

Movie fans can actually take in all films since some are not showing in Hilo but will be in Kona and visa versa.

Tickets in Hilo are $7.00 general admission; $6.00 senior citizens or students; $5.00 Friends of the Palace, and are available in advance at the Palace Theater box office.

Tickets in Kona are $7.00 general/$6.00 senior citizens or students. Some group discounts are available.
