ABOUT ABLED HAWAI’I ARTISTS

Abled Hawaii Artists (AHA) is a volunteer- based organization aimed at raising community awareness of disability issues in the state of Hawaii, by organizing an annual event that celebrates the American’s with Disabilities Act and promotes inclusion through a festival that focuses on individual abilities through the arts.

AHA- Big Island Planning Committee is comprised of persons with and without disabilities who value the importance of community inclusion for all persons with disabilities.

AHA also works to build community by supporting various drug-free community events. With volunteer artist and donated supplies, we provide free all-ages art activities such as chalk art, face and painting, mural, etc. In its third year, AHA- Big Island continues to focus on community inclusion by inviting artists of all abilities to participate in this amazing community event!
